Rex's

The Rex breed Comes in various colors. Black, White, Blue, Castor, Chocolate, Sable, Tortoise, Seal, Brindle, etc.. One of their distinctive features is the thick, upstanding fur that looks and feels like velvet. It must be remembered that these low maintenance mammals do not require combing at all.

 

Rex's on average weigh from 6lbs-10lbs making it a rather large rabbit in its family. These bunnies are generally friendly, curious and playful making them a perfect addition to your family. These bunnies like others can be easily litter trained (with the proper incentives of course). Rex's can live 6-9 years with the proper loving family.

 

Rex's are most known for their docile temperaments and making amazing therapy animals.

Holland Lops

 The Holland Lop breed typically weighs no more than 4-5lbs. They come in a very wide variety of colors: Black, Blue, Chesnut, Chinchilla, Lynx, Sable point, Tort, Black tort, blue tort (and so many other colors).

 

Holland Lops make amazing pets! They have puppy-like temperaments and some will follow you around, begging for attention and love. Hollands are very doting. Holland Lops are supposed to look bulky and chunky, with big heads and short ears on stumpy front legs. 

Flemish Giants

Flemish Giants are known widely for their immense size. This breed generally gets to 15lbs but has been known to reach upwards of 22lbs. The flemish can take up to 1.5 years to reach their maximum weight.

 

They make great pets with constant handling from its owners. Because of its size, the Flemish Giant requires a much larger area to be able to roam around. Apart from being raised as a pet, they have been raised for meat, showing and pet-assisted therapy.

Lion Head

Lionheads are docile, intelligent rabbits that love attention. Lionheads are revered for their gentle, inquisitive dispositions and willingness to play. However, as they can be unpredictable when frightened or stressed, experts say they aren’t suitable for families with small children. Handling from a young age helps these fluff balls gain the trust of humans and increases their friendliness.

 

 Lionhead Rabbits have soft, woolly medium-length fur that requires regular grooming. These manes are known as either ‘double’ or ‘single’. In double-mane Lionheads, the fur is prominent around most of the body, especially the head and hindquarters, while single-maned Lionheads have a mane around the head and ears that diminishes as they age. Lionheads are bred in a variety of colors including black, blue, lilac and chestnut.

Jersey Wooly

Intelligence and docile nature are the two must-have qualities when it comes to pets, and Jersey wooly rabbits seem to be exceptionally gifted with these. In fact, these rabbits are so gentle that you have to take extra care to make sure you don't end up hurting them unintentionally. While the thick wool fur, which is a characteristic trait of this breed, may make it seem heavy, the Jersey wooly seldom weighs more than 3.5 lbs.

You need to be a bit careful about the fact that the Jersey wooly loves chewing, and will chew anything that it comes across―even wires around the house. You need to make sure that you keep wires and other such stuff out of its reach. 

Silver Fox

The Silver Fox rabbit is a rare breed which was developed in the united states during the 1920s. It is a multi-purpose rabbit breed, raised for meat, fur, and showing. The Silver Fox is a large breed of rabbit, It was named for its dense fur which has white ticking and closely resembles the pelt of the silver fox.

 

Silver foxes are known to be friendly and enjoy attention. They are striking yet gentle which makes them an excellent choice for a companion. Because of their size, they need to have sufficient space to have regular exercise.
